Our Client is a well known and highly respected yacht interiors manufacturer based in the UAE. They require a Design Coordinator reporting to the Project Manager and coordinating the planning, designing, and furnishing interiors of yachts.
Core Function - Executing the following tasks:
Liaises directly with owners or their representative, with regard to design and technical issues.
Supervises and controls CAD operations.
Prepares production details for CAD team to implement.
Performs site surveys for all parties.
Prepares schedules to coordinate the design concept, from office drawings to on-site fitting.
Evaluates worker's performance as per ISO requirements.
Ensures that ISO requirements and documentation are maintained and implemented at all times.
Attends production and on-site operations meetings,
Assists in advising owner or representative on interior design issues, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings, equipment and color coordination.
Coordinates design and development of new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, and products, including artistic contributions as required.
Providing documentation, detailed instructions, drawings, or specifications to tell others about how devices, parts, equipment, or structures are to be fabricated, constructed, assembled, modified, maintained, or used.
Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
Supervises subcontractors with regard to design & technical details.
Coordinates information flow with subcontractors.
Represents our Client to a professional level in all areas of technical design & construction.
Debrief at critical phases or benchmarks, distribute and implement improvements in future designs or continuing phases.
Consistently keep abreast of market trends and construction methods.
Create and improve on processes.
Input feedback relating to our Client's company policies & procedures to continuously seek excellence by improving, refining & modifying procedures.
