The Product Engineer is responsible for bringing the product from conception through finished goods with continuing support to manufacturing and consumer services. In order to achieve this, the Product Engineer must interact with multiple departments within the company including, but not limited to, sales, marketing, design, costing, purchasing, manufacturing, quality, the sample shop, R&D / testing, customer and consumer services, and global sourcing. The Product Engineer participates in the various reviews and processes required to produce a quality and cost-effective product. The Product Engineer position exists in order to turn design concepts into manufacturable and profitable products. The Product Engineer must be constantly focused on the company vision, specifically on installation-ready furniture and on meeting the cost criteria of the product. The Product Engineer is a key member of Product Development and Product Engineering groups, reporting to the Manager of Product Development and Engineering.
